Shaun Donovan Named As HUD Secretary

President-elect Barack Obama called New York City housing official Shaun Donovan as secretary of housing and urban development, the conversion of a former official in the Clinton administration for help in the fight against the effects of difficulties foreclosure in the city.

Obama announced in the weekly radio address Saturday. Donovan welcomed Europe’s role in the creation of more urban housing in the country. As the New York Department of Housing maintenance and development, Donovan managed a total of 7.5 billion U.S. dollars project, which has half the school to one million affordable housing.
